ITINERARY

Day 1 — Welcome to Harbin!

Welcome to Harbin, China's famous Ice City! ❄️

Arrive in Harbin by plane or train and make your way to the hotel for check-in.

The rest of the day is yours to relax or explore a little on your own. If you arrive early, why not take a first walk around the neighborhood and get a taste of Harbin's winter atmosphere?

Get a good night's rest — tomorrow we're heading into a winter wonderland!

Overnight: Harbin

Day 2 — Snow Sculptures, Siberian Tigers & the Magical Ice World

Today is the big day! Get ready for some of Harbin's most incredible winter attractions.

After breakfast, we'll head to Sun Island Snow Sculpture Expo, where enormous snow sculptures turn the park into a giant outdoor art gallery. Some of these creations are so detailed it's hard to believe they're made entirely of snow!

For lunch, we'll warm up with a traditional giant wok stew (铁锅炖), a local favorite and just what you need after a morning in the cold.

Next, we're off to Siberian Tiger Park, where we'll have the chance to see these magnificent animals up close in a dedicated wildlife park.

And then comes the highlight of the trip — Harbin Ice & Snow World! ❄️

Imagine an entire world of enormous ice castles, colorful illuminated sculptures and frozen towers. We'll arrive in the late afternoon so you can enjoy the ice creations as they light up after dark. Take your time to explore, take photos and soak up the magical atmosphere.

Dinner is at your own expense inside the park, where you'll find food stalls and restaurants.

On our way back, we'll stop to admire the beautifully illuminated Saint Sophia Cathedral, one of Harbin's most recognizable landmarks.

We'll return to the hotel around 9 PM. If you've still got some energy, you can explore Central Street (Zhongyang Street) nearby.

Meals included: Breakfast and lunch
Overnight: Harbin

Day 3 — Confucius Temple, Russian Castles & Goodbye Harbin!

After breakfast, we'll start our last day with a visit to Harbin's Confucius Temple, a peaceful place to discover a little more about traditional Chinese architecture and culture.

Then we'll head out to Volga Manor, about an hour from the city center.

With its colorful Russian-style buildings, wooden bridges, castles and snow-covered grounds, Volga Manor feels like stepping into a little European village in the middle of a Chinese winter. We'll have time to wander around

❄️ Important Notice — For December Departures Only

The official opening date of Harbin Ice & Snow World for winter 2026–2027 has not been announced yet. The park usually opens to visitors in December, which is why we've planned our Christmas departures for December 23–25 and 25–27.

However, opening depends on weather conditions, so there is a small risk of delays. For December departures, we strongly recommend booking refundable or changeable flights and train tickets.

If the main festival attractions are not open in time and M2adventure has to cancel the trip, your tour deposit will be fully refunded.

FAQ

When is the best time to visit the Harbin Ice & Snow Festival?

Late December to February is generally the best time to visit Harbin for its famous ice and snow attractions. January and February are the safest choices for seeing the completed festival installations, while December opening dates depend on weather conditions.

How cold does Harbin get in winter, and what should I wear?

Pretty cold :) Temperatures can drop below -20°C, especially at night. Bring thermal layers, a thick down jacket, waterproof winter boots, warm socks, gloves, a hat and a scarf. You'll be spending several hours outdoors, so dressing properly makes all the difference.

Is the Harbin Ice & Snow Festival suitable for children?

Yes! Kids usually love the giant ice castles, colorful lights and snow sculptures. However, the extreme cold can be challenging for younger children, so warm clothing, regular indoor breaks and realistic expectations are important.

Are tickets to Harbin Ice & Snow World included in the tour price?

Yes! Entrance tickets to Harbin Ice & Snow World, Sun Island Snow Sculpture Expo, Siberian Tiger Park, Volga Manor and Confucius Temple are included in our tour price.

Can I join the Harbin tour as a solo traveler?

Of course! Solo travelers are welcome to join our scheduled group departures. The price is based on two people sharing a twin room. If you'd prefer your own room, a single-room supplement of ¥700 applies.
