***TRIP HIGHLIGHTS***

🏜 Lhasa - You will visit all of Lhasa major sites (Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street, Drepung, and Sera monastery)

 

🏞 Yamdrok Lake - It is a freshwater lake in Tibet, also one of the three largest sacred lakes in Tibet. The lake is surrounded by many snow-capped mountains and is fed by numerous small streams.

Don’t worry, we take care of all the paperwork for the Tibet permit!

***ITINERARY***

 

Meeting Point and Drop-off Point:  Lhasa, Tibet.

Day 1- Arrive in Lhasa (3600m)

Take Plane or Train to Lhasa

 

Upon arrival, we will be picked up at the airport or railway station and escort us to our hotel in Lhasa (flight pick up times are 09H30, 13H30 and 16H30).

 

The rest of the day is for us to take a good rest and adapt ourselves to the high altitude of Lhasa.  

 

Stay overnight in Lhasa (hotel).

Day 2- Visit Lhasa (3600m)

Visit Potala Palace, the winter palace of the Dalai Lama. We will have the chance to see the Stupas Tombs of past Dalai Lamas.

 

Visit Jokhang temple which was founded in the 7th century to promote the Buddhist religion. Inside we can see the statue of Buddha Sakyamuni (most venerated object in Tibet Buddhism). Walk around Barkhor street where we can kora (circling the Barkor street) locals and watch pilgrims making prostration.

 

We can taste Tibetan tea in a local tea house. A welcome dinner will be arranged with the group. 

 

Stay overnight in Lhasa (hotel).

Day 3- Visit Lhasa, Drepung & Sera monastery (3600m)

In the morning, we will visit Drepung monastery which is one of the “great three” Gelug monasteries of Tibet. You can visit the biggest monastery kitchen inside the monastery and enjoy Buddhist Sculpture Carving workshop near Drepung.

 

In the Afternoon, we will visit Sera Monastery which is another one of the “great three” Gelug monasteries of Tibet. One of the popular attraction is the Monks debating at around 3 - 5 pm in the afternoon.

 

Stay overnight in Lhasa.

Day 4- Visit Yamdroktso Lake

In the morning, we will drive to Yamdrok Lake. 

 

On the way, we will pass over the Gampala pass (4790m), and stop to have a glimpse of Yamdrok lake (4400m). 

 

In the distance, you can have spectacular views of Holy Mount Nyenchen Khangsar (7191m), the highest mountain in Lhasa. Then we will take a walk around the lake before heading back to Lhasa.

 

Stay overnight in Lhasa (hotel).

Day 5- Depart from Lhasa

The guide will transfer you to the airport or train station and help you get on board.(flight pick up times are 06H30, 08H30 and 12H30).

 

Back to home sweet home, head full of wonderful memories!

Included in the price:

  • Travel permit and all other necessary permits to Tibet

  • Entrance ticket fees for all tourist sites listed in the itinerary

  • Meals: Welcome dinner in a local restaurant (Day 2)

  • Meals: 4 Breakfasts (Day 2, 3, 4, 5)

  • Transportation, comfortable Tourist Vehicle

  • Free Airport shuttle transfer on designated time (Day 1 & 5)

  • Knowledgeable English-speaking Tibetan local tour guide

  • Accommodation: Comfortable Hotel / Guesthouse (shared room)

  • Drinking water (1 bottle per day)

  • One shared Big Oxygen tank in the car

  • Tourist accident/casualty insurance

Not Included:

  • Flight or train to and out of Tibet;

  • Meals not mentioned in “included” (~30-100rmb/per meal)

  • Tips to tour guide and driver

  • Fapiao/invoice: 6% fee (if needed)

Pick up and drop off:

- The free airport pick-up time is as follows on the day the itinerary begins (From the Airport to Hotel, Fixed departure): 10:00 am; 13:30 pm; 17:00 pm

- The free airport drop-off time is as follows on the day the itinerary closes (From Hotel to the Airport, Fixed departure): 06:30 am; 08:00 am; 12:00 pm

* If these times are not convenient and you don't want to wait, you may take a taxi or public transportation at your own cost.

- All the shuttle service from/to the train station on the date of tourists' arrival and departure would be free.

 

Cancellation policy:

30 days or more before departure: 20% of the tour price

Between 29 and 15 days prior to departure: 30% of the tour price

Between 14 and 7 days prior to departure: 40% of the tour price

Between 6 and 3 days prior to departure: 50% of the tour price + cancellation fees charged by hotels if applicable.

All cancellations made within 3 days of departure or No Show Up: 100% of the tour price
